Hello and thanks for visiting my Caring Bridge page.  On Dec 6th, 2018 I went in to have a procedure done on my femur and hip.  When surgeon went in, he discovered that there was more to what he had planned for and had to turn down the procedure and have an expert take it on down the road.  As I was in post-op I was getting dressed while still pretty out of it and with my leg still blocked from the procedure.  I was unassisted by staff and the chair went out from under me.  I fell to my left side and broke my Fibula which then stretched out my ligament and also jumbled up my ankle bones.  I have been mostly crawling on all fours since then and get around in a wheelchair when I'm out and about.

This has caused a lot of stress on the family in many ways.  There are so many things that I wish I could do with my boys; play, go to their concerts and other events, do out of the house activities and more.  It is hard to cover everything, but basically I've been doing the daily things needed to do to feel "normal" (eating, bathing, sleeping) and even that is very hard to do on my own.  Molly is doing a lot of it all to keep the house and family life as usual as possible, but it's very tiring on her and I wish I could do all that I would have done before all of this had happen.

Having your help is so appreciated by me and my family.  Please look at the "Ways to Help" page here.  There is a Go Fund Me Page, a schedule with times you can sign up to help, A Meal Train page and other ways you can help on the page.  All of these things makes our lives less stressful and easier for me to focus on my recovery.  It's going to be a long time before I'm back to my usual self.  The doctor didn't want to give  an estimate, but by the looks of it we are looking at October once all has healed from the accident and I finally go to the expert for the original procedure.  Please consider to help me and my family.  Any for of help is greatly appreciated and means so much to me.  Thank you for visiting my Caring Bridge Page.

Much love,
