On March 29th Chloe Kizer was taken to Sturgis Regional Hospital by her mom, Misty, as she was believed to be dehydrated related to a recent stomach flu. Chloe was soon transferred to Rapid City Regional Hospital by ambulance where her father, Matt, met them. It was decided that Chloe needed more extensive treatment and was in the beginning phase of septic shock. She was flown to Sanford Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls accompanied by Matt. Chloe is in the pediatric Intensive Care Unit on life support, has a ventilator to assist her breathing and is on acute, continuous Dialysis to help clear the infection from her body. The Dr.'s are working vigorously to find a cause to her condition. Thank you for taking your time and energy to learn about Chloe and her experience!
