Hey guys my brother Chip was involved in a  motorcycle accident on June 14th 2018. Basically he was merging into traffic from one interstate to another and ran into the back of a parked/stalled car. Chip was thrown off the bike and into the back of the car. When E.M.S. arrived he was unresponsive and had to be resuscitated twice once he got to Carolinas Medical Center Main. After his initial assessment the doctors gave me this news:
Both lungs had collapsed
Broken tibia on the right leg and a badly banged up right heel
A tear to the bronchial tube leading to his right middle and lower lobes of his lungs.
Multiple fractures to his ribs
Multiple fractures to his spine/vertebrae
Luckily he was wearing a good helmet and has no brain injuries. The doctors have said he has no internal bleeding or organ damage either. At the moment we are waiting on a procedure to fix the tear in his lungs and will most likely move to his back next.

The doctors have told us that he will be in the hospital for quite a while. Then he will have to go through rehabilitation therapy. I will do my best to update this page with all the information I can get. We expect that his medical/personal bills are going to be astronomical and any help would be greatly appreciated.  If you would like to donate,  please go to the "ways to help" tab and follow the link to the Go Fund Me page.  Click the Journal tab to see updates and other info as it happens.
