Hi everyone,

We wanted to reach out to all of our dear family and friends to let you know how Chip has been doing.

Chip had a great summer. We spent a hot but lovely week in Meredith, New Hampshire, soaking up the sunshine on the shores of Winnisquam, surrounded by family and a few friends.  We also headed down to Plymouth for the annual Needham gang party, and attended multiple BBQs with family and friends.

Last week, we made the decision that, based on Chip's need for increasingly skilled 24 hour care, it made sense for him to move to The Tippett Home, a hospice in Needham, about 10 minutes from our house. This has allowed us, as a family, to enjoy time with Chip rather than being his full-time caregivers. In the beginning, there were challenges getting used to others caring for Chip, but now, the wonderful, caring caregivers at The Tippett House, have gotten to know, understand and enjoy Chip's humor, as if they've known him for a long time.

Communication has become challenging for Chip, and breathing is tough, leaving him often fairly sleepy. But through it all, Chip is still as warm, engaging, and funny as ever.
