Chi Olson

First post: Aug 17, 2018
Welcome to Chi’s CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Over the last 6 weeks Chi has battled an unpredicted, long and painful course in the hospital. Her intestine herniated into her pelvis where it became strangled and she had 80 cm removed. During her weeks in July as the sickest patient in St. Patrick Hospital Intensive Care, septic shock almost killed her. She suffered multiple complications, including renal failure, five washout surgeries, tissue death in her toes with sensation loss to her feet, infection, deconditioned immobility, and malnutrition.
The good news is she is now discharged home to Rock Creek with home health for the next couple months. The Olson family appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
