My name is Michele. I am a long time friend and homeschooled my two daughters pre-12th grade through CHS where Cheryl has worked since before I started there. Cheryl’s husband and daughter asked me to set up this site to help with updates. 
Cheryl has been such a blessing to so many for so many years, works at and is registrar for our homeschool group. She had a hip revision Wednesday August 7th. The first hip replacement was painful, loose and didn’t work right. What was supposed to be a one hour surgery turned into 4 hours because the Surgeon accidentally broke her femur. She had some osteoporosis that she thinks may have contributed. What was supposed to be a typical incision on the hip area turned into one from her hip to her knee because the femur break is close to her knee. Pins and metal to repair was needed. Her blood pressure was so low they couldn’t give her any pain meds until they gave her blood transfusions to bring her blood volume back up. The Dr said this recovery is going to be rough. Please pray she recovers well, no complications develop, for all the bodily functions to return (It’s a big deal and she asked me to ask for prayer for this🤪)and for her and her family to persevere. When I was with her on Thursday she was in so much pain and so weak. It just breaks my heart. She thought she would be home by Friday and is still not able to even stand today.
