Hello my name is Roger Vieau, I am Cherri Vieau's youngest son. On August 18th of this year, we were all shocked to learn my mom was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma (non-small cell lung cancer) stage 4.
She did not test positive for specific cancer markers, which would have allowed for the treatment to be more specified. Unfortunately, we will have to do general chemotherapy which will start this week on Tuesday, September 5th, 2017. She is getting a second opinion with Cancer Centers of America because the doctors are not overly optimistic with the form of cancer she has.
She is a loving mother of 5 and grandmother of even more. She is very strong and brave in the face of her illness. We have all the faith in the world that she will beat this despite the doctors opinion. My mom is everything to me. We are embarking on the fight of our lives and again grateful for anything you can contribute.
