As many of you know, I have been approved to have an organ transplant. I will be getting a small intestine, part of a colon, and pancreas. I received my letter yesterday saying I was added to the UNOS wait list on May 27, 2016. But I received a call on Wednesday, June 1st, saying they had to take me off the list (Status 7-Pause) until after the upper scope is performed on Monday, June 6th. The reason for doing this is because they were already getting calls on donors for me. This made me realize that the transplant is going to be happening a lot sooner than I was expecting. So today I have been trying to get packed and ready so all I have to do when I get the call is leave town because I only have 4-6 hours to get there. I decided this would be the best way to keep everyone updated on what is going on and how everything is doing after I get the call to head to Omaha since not everyone has Facebook. Since mom is on vacation next week also, I will be calling on Monday, June 13th, to be taken off Status 7-Pause. While I can't post, my mother will be and afterwards when I can there may be times we both do!

Since mom and I don't have time for a fundraiser, Ron and her have set up an account for donations if anybody is wanting to donate (you can notify us for details because I don't know anything besides it is at the Union Bank & Trust). I have to have someone with me 24/7 when I am in Omaha and my mother is great enough to be willing to do it. She was planning on going and getting a job after the first few weeks while there but in the 4 days of transplant evaluation, we were informed that she will not be able to because I have to have my caregiver or someone over 18 with me all the time. That put a damper in our income situation.

When I get down there and we have the room information, we will post the address for the people that would like it. If you are ever in Omaha, you are more than welcome to come for a visit if you have time and would like to. Mom might like getting the break also. I will be in the hospital at least 6 weeks. After that I have to be in Omaha until they give me permission to leave the city limits. This could be anywhere from 3 months to a year. It is all based off of my body rejecting the organs. If you would like to come for a few days, you sure can and mom would probably love to come home for a few days. You will always be able to call, text, email, message on Facebook, Facebook post, send letters, or visit. We can get you the information if you don't have it.

Well that is all for now! Thank you for checking out the page. I appreciate all of the prayers, thoughts, and kind words everyone has already been doing for me. There won't be much on here until I get the call! Just wanted to get it ready so mom didn't have to.
