Cheryl Huckerby Cheering for Cheryl

First post: Dec 6, 2017 Latest post: Sep 10, 2018
Hello, everyone, Cheryl, my mother, had a brain aneurysm burst the night of 11/26 and was flown to the hospital in Fairfax VA. She was taken straight to surgery and after a few hours, she was sent to NSICU to recover where she has been for the last week and we aren't sure for how long. The stats for this kind of brain injury are not good and it was very lucky that Cheryl was at home and Alan, her husband and my father, was not too far away when she collapsed. The doctors tell us daily that Cheryl is very lucky to be where she is now because not many people survive the trip to the emergency room.

If you want to send cards or anything like food or gift cards, please contact me directly for an address or send a message. We would love to hear from you and all your good thoughts and prayers and love means so much to us. My mother is a wonderful person, always gives too much of herself to others, and we would love to be able to share with her how much she means to everyone. Sometimes, we don't realize how much we should have said thank you or I love you until it is too late. Luckily, we have a second chance. Mom deserves so much love!! Let's cheer her on!! I, her daughter Katrina, will post updates when I can and let you know when you can visit.
