Over the course of the past 7 years, Chase’s life drastically changed. Throughout those years, Chase showed emotional upheavals, behavioral struggles, anger, shutdowns and many other difficulties. We sought therapy during those years, but there was little therapeutic benefit due to a lack of engagement by Chase. Unbeknownst to anyone, he actually suppressed the horrific memory of a traumatic event that occurred back in 2014. This traumatic, suppressed event was revealed and relived in recent months.
Chase is now 14 years old and ready to seek help, heal, talk, share and begin the road to recovery. He is attending a phenomenal residential program at New Vision Wilderness (NVW) in Medford, WI. This facility has top notch care, and a team of medical experts that specialize in treating childhood trauma. NVW can offer a clinical treatment plan, in an unconventional environment. NVW specializes in three treatment areas. These areas include, Neurological Release, Self-Regulation Training, and Relational Immersion. At NVW some of the therapeutic techniques used are: Brain-spotting psychotherapy, Trauma Centered Yoga, Expressive Art, Canine Therapy, and Relational Pinnacle Experiences (like dog sledding and rock climbing). Chase could have the ability to heal is mind, body, and spirit, along with equipping himself with the tools he'll need for a lifetime of coping. NVW empowers youth to manage their inner works to change their outer world.
