Charlotte turns 77 on February 11. She would be the first to tell you she's the most surprised she is still among us. For the past six months she lived in my home with my husband Shawn, my adult daughter Sara, and me, and a number of furry critters. During that time her condition declined. She is mostly limited to her wheelchair because her balance is poor and legs are weak. Cognitively she is forgetful, and has difficulty forming sentences. Longterm memories still are there. Personality-wise, she still is the Charlotte we love. However, everyone in my home works fulltime. As her needs increased, we no longer have been able to provide this care safely. Consequently, she has moved to Bridgecrest Rehabilitation Center which will give her professional longterm care.

What can you do? I will post updates here on her condition. If you are local, she loves visits (boredom now is her biggest issue). Mail cards.
