Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Charles was born on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018.  Monday, Nov 19 he was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) which basically means that the left side of his heart didn't develop properly and does not, and will not, work.  He is currently in the NICU at Sanford in Sioux Falls and is scheduled to have his first of a series of heart surgeries on Friday, Nov 23 in Ann Arbor, MI.
