A funeral service will be held for Charles Richard Durant at 10 a.m. Monday, August 2nd, 2021, at Hoskinson Funeral Home at 285 East Main Street, Kirkersville, Ohio, with Rev. Gus Andrews presiding.  Interment will follow at Union Evangelical Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio.  The family will receive friends and relatives from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday, August 1st, 2021.

 

Charles Durant, age 82, passed away at the Cornerstone Hospice House in The Villages, Florida.  His home was in Hawthorne of Leesburg, Florida.  Charles was born December 6th, 1938, in Licking County, Ohio to his late parents, Mabel (Mathias) and Loren Durant.  He was long retired in his work as a carpet installer.

 

Charles is survived by his children Debby (Steve) Riordan of Las Colinas, Texas; Mark (Tammie Angelo) Durant of Kirkersville, Ohio; Linda (Larry) Williams; Cathy (Ken) Iden of St. Louisville, Ohio, John (Gayla) Bowermaster of St. Louisville, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren with an additional great grandchild expected this fall; sister Donna (Kenny) Keeran of Phoenix, Arizona.

 

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother Ralph Durant, daughter Kelly Shorter, first wife Judith Bowermaster and second wife Fran Durant.
