I am from Oakdale, LA and have recently moved to Louisville, KY. I am a very active person, who loved the sport of bodybuilding> I love my family dearly, and I enjoy traveling. I also served in the military for 13 years and served in Iraq twice as a Combat Medic Specialist. When I lived in Colorado, I was in an ATV accident that changed my life in an instant. That accident injured my spinal cord at the C-4 through C-6. This injury has left me without use of my fingers, very little control for lower trunk, and no movement of my legs. This makes it difficult to live independently without help from caregivers. I have moved to Kentucky due to Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center accepting me as one of their candidates' for their research with SCI's. This center's goal it to develop effective treatments for spinal cord injuries and I get to be apart of their extraordinary research and share my story with you.
