Celean's back began hurting her in the spring of 2017. During a visit to the ER, x-rays were done - and showed a tumor in her lung. After additional testing, she received the diagnosis of stage IV lung cancer. In addition to the original spot in her lung, testing showed a second spot in her lung, a couple of spots on her spine, and the involvement of one lymph node.
