Cecilia Battersby

Cecilia Battersby has been living in north Georgia with her daughter Christine's family since her husband Brent died on June 30.  She has been very happy and comfortable in her new home.   In early November, the Battersby, Strain and Hartley families were together for Brent's military burial at Georgia National Cemetery and a weekend filled with love and laughter.  Shortly thereafter, extensive disease was found in her liver and colon.  Until recently, Cecilia has been relatively pain-free.  Medical team is working to determine the best actions to maintain Cecilia's quality of life for as long as possible.   

Cecilia is a Christian and knows her real home is in heaven.  Her faith and love has supported our entire family as we worked through Brent/Dad/Grandpa's death.  She knows that Jesus, her redeemer, lives and has prepared a place for her.  Our hope is in the Lord -- He is our refuge and strength; our daily provision; our joy; the author and finisher of our faith.
