Shortly after Thanksgiving, Cecile found a tumor in her left armpit and went to the doctor. This started a flurry of visits with multiple specialists, mammograms, biopsy, MRIs, blood tests, CT scans, EKG, you name it. A month later, we had a compete diagnosis: Stage IIA breast cancer. The cancer is present both in the breast and the lymph node under the arm. The tumor is a grade 2/3, and is both ER and PR positive, and HER2 negative. The prognosis is 93% chance of a positive outcome.
