David and Sarah's beautiful baby girl, Cecilia "Cece" Rose was born November 2, 2018. In the later months of Sarah's pregnancy, we learned Cece had been diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrom (HLHS) which is a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. Medical teams at Children's Hospital were on the case and ready to help Cece the minute she came into this world on November 2. Cece underwent two major lifesaving open heart surgeries in the first few months of her life in addition to several other procedures. While Cece is incredibly strong and has made it through so much, she will ultimately need a heart AND lung transplant in the next months. We are here to support David, Sarah and Riley as they make it through this immense journey.

Many of David's fellow police officers have given up their very own vacation days to allow David to be with Cece in the hospital. Sarah is on unpaid leave. Money raised will support them in huge ways. As for the other many helpful ways to lend a hand, please see the calendar and list of ideas. Sarah and David will likely be alternating shifts at the hospital until Cece is able to get a transplant (which could take months). Help caring for their dogs, occasional fresh groceries or a meal could be what they need. This is the place to find out as needs could change from week to week.
