Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

As many of you know, Cathy was in a car accident on January 2, 2017 at 9:30 in the morning.  She hit a patch of ice coming off of county road 40 and slid into highway 184 just as a semi was passing.  Her car hit the wheels of the semi-truck , taking off the front of the car and displacing the engine.  AND then a miracle happened.  Cathy survived!  She was rushed to Cortez and then flown by care flight to Farmington, NM due to head trauma, a punctured lung, and a broken clavicle.  She has a small bleed on the left side of her brain and some weakness  on the left side of her body.  Overall, she is slowly (VERY SLOWLY) improving but needs lots of rest, which we all know she does not do well.

Thank you family and friends for your concern!  I know how much we all love Cathy and I want all of her friends to keep track of her progress over the next few weeks and months.  Please keep visitors to family only while she is recovering and check this site often for updates.  Much love, The Epps/Lawrence/Manderscheid/Wilkins/Yatros/Korak family
