Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting! You found me! I'm so thankful that you have taken the time to not only figure out Caring Bridge, but to also use this as a way for me to update all of you.My biggest need? Prayer. Why am I on Caring Bridge? My journey started about a year ago. I started having strange symptoms that continued on for months. Gas. Bloating. Back pain. Loss of appetite. Abdominal pain. Indigestion. Feeling full quickly. Alternating constipation/diarrhea. More frequent urination and weight loss.I went to my doctor almost monthly for 8+ months. I knew that I felt something large growing, but tests were never done that included an ultrasound. I had many tests, by the end, all that could be determined was that I had Irritable bowel. Which, I did not.I had pain so intense one day that Tyler rushed me to an emergency room. Tali met us there. They did an ultrasound ASAP. It was quickly determined that I had 2 large masses growing in my pelvic area. That was 3 weeks ago. Since then I have had a radical hysterectomy, tumors removed, lymph nodes removed and some other things that I can never remember the name of! Pathology shows that I have stage 3 ovarian cancer. The statistics are not in my favor, but, I am fighting the good fight and desire to live many more years loving my husband and family. Tali needs my help with those twins! I am recovering slower than I hoped from my hysterectomy. Very fatigued and in pain. My nights are long. Many of them I finally get out of bed and read for a few hours. My mother is living with us to help take care of me. We meet with my oncologist on Wednesday. At that time we will figure out the game plan.I have minor surgery on Friday afternoon to insert a port which will be used for further blood draws and medication needs.I ask prayers today for God's wisdom and guidance as we choose which path to take in my future medical needs.Blessings to you, CathyPS.
