Cathy began feeling bad on Christmas Day and went to the hospital a few days later. Unfortunately, doctors found multiple tumors in Cathy's brain and she had surgery on January 4th. The surgeon was able to remove about 60% of the worst tumor and all of another. Cathy recovered well and spent about a week in rehab after leaving the hospital before going home mid-January.
