Catherine Samway

Welcome! On Mother's Day 2012, Catherine was found by her children after suffering a large ischemic stroke in her home. Her sweet dog, Luna, was sitting loyally by her side. She was Life Flighted to St. Lukes in Boise, Idaho, and monitored carefully in ICU for several heart-wrenching days while in critical condition. She then spent months participating in therapy administered by the Elks Rehab Center. We are very happy to say that Catherine has since made her way back to the Wood River Valley, where she has continued to work hard to regain her independence while in the care of her children and extended family and where she has the pleasure of being surrounded by a beautiful environment. Catherine is a strong and amazing woman, a very loved mother, grandmother, and friend. Her laughter, big heart, fun loving personality, and sense of humor are contagiously uplifting to everyone around her. Now a resident of the Bell Mountain Village in Bellevue, we hope you will visit Catherine in her new setting, enjoy recreational outings together, and keep the spark of purpose and friendship in her life!  Your support will ensure she continues to perform miracles!  In gratitude, The Samways
