As most of you know Mom has been kicking butt on her autoimmune liver disease for 20 years, despite being given a 4-5 year survival rate at the time of diagnosis.  Mom had kids and grandkids to spoil and love and did not plan on going anywhere anytime too soon.  We know what a determined,  spirited,  fiesty, strong  woman she is and no one was really surprised at this longevity!!
The past years have gradually become  more and more of a struggle and she is now ready to rest.  Our family is grieving with the thought of losing our beautiful Mom, but take comfort knowing she can now rest in heaven with her own Mom and a grand baby that now gets the joys of being spoiled and loved by his Grandma as we have all these years.
Mom is a generous soul and has the patience and compassion for all around  her like nothing I have ever seen. Biologically she may only have 4 kids and 9 grandchildren but really has been a Mom to many, many more!
The plan right now is to bring her home from the hospital on Monday to hospice care. We will welcome anyone who wishes to visit. She is alert as of now and that will change so early visits may be best for her to be able to talk with you.  She is at United hospital until Monday in rm 4520 and can also take visitors.
