Caryn Grozalsky Life Redirected

First post: Feb 13, 2013 Latest post: Apr 7, 2018
Welcome to my CaringBridge site. I've created it to keep friends and family updated and also as a way to peek into my brain as I travel throughout this crazy maze. My family and I truly appreciate your support and words of hope, humor, validation and encouragement.

On December 21, 2012, I got the phone call that every person dreads. The call that starts with, "Are you in a place where you can talk?" At the time I was diagnosed with Stage 0, localized, non-invasive DCIS breast cancer. That was the Friday of the start of my December vacation. It turned out to be the start of the longest 4 weeks of my life. After going to more doctor appointments than I could ever possibly imagine and going through various tests, I ended up having major breast surgery on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.  Unfortunately, the surgery is not enough to end my journey. I now have Stage 2, invasive breast cancer with some lymph node involvement. Almost every doctor's visit or phone call redirects my life ....and so this journal is to help keep my family and friends updated as I work to direct my life back to where I was prior to December 21, 2012. Love you all! Thanks for reading.
