Carson's story begins with mystery illnesses beginning to take over her life. Time after time this sassy, funny, smart, driven child was being chipped away.  As illness raged within so did our desire for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. In dr's offices, ER's, and hospitals across western Texas we placed our girl in their hands hoping, praying for healing. Her pancreas continued to get sicker despite everyone's efforts. She hasn't eaten in almost 2 months- she's fed with TPN via a central line in her chest.  She can no longer wear jeans as they are too uncomfortable and hurt her. She hasn't been to school much at all this year being taught by a homebound teacher in between hospital stays. She's had to give up her one true love- gymnastics.  We are separated from our family most of the time. Missing family time, friendships, LIFE. Missing LIFE. Being so far from family is isolating. Despite all this, the Lord physically put us at University Hospital under the care of Dr. Mitall and Patel. Y'all, God put us here. I can't explain it any better than that. You ever feel you foundation breaking- you ask me our story from Covenant to University.  Carson is fighting a rare form of chronic pancreatitis and the road will be a long one but we now have a plan. Please continue to lift her, her medical team up in prayer. Also lift our family up as we cope with the struggles of being physically separated. Much love and grace ~ Courtney
