     Recently I was diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defects, ASD. It's a form of congenital heart disease that means I have a hole in my heart and it's causing pulmonary hypertension. It puts me at high risk of stroke and heart attack. 
     This condition was discovered during a pre-op physical for gallbladder surgery. First it was a spot on my lungs in an x-ray. That led to a CT scan, which led to an ultrasound on my heart. There, they found the hole in my heart.
     I'm a rare case because the hole is in the bottom chamber of my heart instead of the top chamber, which is more common. 1% of people with this disease are like me, that's 1 in 100. Yep, I am special, but we all already knew that 😉 I was born this way 😎
     Now I am preparing to save my life! God is good and led me to the best doctors at the Mayo clinic to have heart surgery. I will have the hole patched and the artery will return to normal. Dr Warrens says that the success of this surgery is 99% and she hasn't lost a patient yet.....whew!! 😌
    I am not going to deny that I am scared to have surgery, but I am also so blessed to have found out about this. I don't want to die. I had kids later in life and I won't be a grandma until after retirement. So get excited to save my life with me. I am a young, healthy woman who will live a long, happy life. God is so good and I am so blessed!
