Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

As many of you know, Carrie's breast cancer has progressed. She has a lot of disease in her liver that has reduced her appetite and made her a lot weaker over the past month. Last Wednesday she started a new chemotherapy drug called Halaven that we hope will shrink the liver tumors and give her some relief. It is supposed to be less toxic than many chemo drugs, but she does have to go to the infusion center for treatments. Stage IV breast cancer is not curable with current treatments, but she hopes to buy some time and relieve some symptoms.

Meanwhile, we really appreciate the outpouring of support, and prayers, and caring that we have received. Thanks to Pam Tomlinson and Sue Tooker for setting up Meal Train. Now we are enjoying meals prepared by dear friends.  We are trying to live in the present,  find some joy every day, and reminisce about good times we have shared with family and friends.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
