Carolyn Wenger

Mom was diagnosed in May of 2017 with Myelofibrosis. For close 2 to years or more doctors were sure she was bleeding internally somewhere due to her low blood counts. It was finally her rheumatologist that put things together and sent her to a hematologist and she finally got a diagnosis. Once a diagnosis was made she received weekly blood transfusions for about 9 months until recently when the transfusions stopped improving her blood counts. Together we made the decision to enter her into hospice care. She is still alert, although tired, and able to communicate and do most things for herself. We just take things one day at a time and Thank God for the time we have with each other!
