I just wanted to start this so that I could keep all my friends and family updated on my journey.  Just before Memorial Day, I had started to notice some minor pain that felt like a pulled muscle as well as some weight loss and fatigue.  I contributed it to my weight lifting/workouts and some medication I’d been taking. The pain steadily increased and on Sunday, August 19th, while in Rehoboth Beach, I had to go to the emergency room.  After a CAT scan, it was determined that I had a large (6 1/2 cm) tumor on my liver.  


I visited my primary care doctor on Monday, had an MRI on Tuesday (thank you Suzy) and am currently awaiting the results of the biopsy I had on Thursday, August 30th.  I’ve met with a GI, an Oncologist and a Georgetown Hospital liver specialist.  


I will use this tool to update my diagnosis and treatment plan as I learn it.
