This Caring Bridge site is where I've decided to write the details of my fight with breast cancer.
Breast cancer always was real to me as I've had many friends over the years who have had it and fought it and survived it. On July 22, 2016 the swelling in my left forearm became visible and a trip to the ER revealed a blood clot and the scan of the arm showed swollen lymph nodes. Over the next six weeks I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, TNBC, yet no tumor could be found. The doctors told me it isn't what is in the breast but what is outside the breast that we had to worry about.
My health has been good all my life. I'm 63, married to Kenney for 45 years, have two wonderful sons and four beautiful grandchildren. I love Jesus and to study God's Word, the Bible.
I'm beginning this Caring Bridge writing as I sit outside the Ambulatory Care Treatment clinic of MD Anderson Cancer Center, as I wait to be called in for my first chemotherapy treatment.
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
[10] So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
