Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Carolyn Bloom had surgery on her left shoulder's rotator cuff last Friday, October 19th. Despite a pre-op ordeal - - 1 1/2 hours of trying to find a vein for an IV, she was released on the same day and had a nerve block shot before she was discharged. This mitigated excruciating pain for 22 hours; now she's on strong medication to alleviate the discomfort.

A friend from Boston was with her for the past five days and provided round-the-clock assistance. She left today and another out-of-town friend will arrive on October 30 for five days. In the interim, two local friends will be staying overnight and helping her in the morning. It would be very helpful if you could sign up for providing lunch and visiting with Carolyn in the afternoons of October 25, 26, 27, 28.
