In early April, Carol was diagnosed with acute Leukemia and admitted to the BMT center at Northside Hospital where her treatments began. Despite the fears and uncertainties God has placed Carol in the most competent environment with doctors and nurses who have cared for her and friends and family who have consistently held her up in prayers.  Throughout this process God has shown his grace and love in so many ways, whether it be all our friends who have donated desperately needed platelets,  cards, running errands, rides to and from the clinic and most importantly your prayers.
The next few months will present a difficult road for Carol as she spends 6 hours in the clinic  everyday where she is monitored and tested to determine what medications she will need that day. Often these treatments cause her to be extremely tired and we are encouraging her to rest as needed to allow her body to heal. Everyday is a new and different journey which brings new challenges, risk and most importantly a cure!
