Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Carol is both unlucky in that she experienced a very serious car accident and lucky that she will only be out of commission for about three months with no permanent injuries.   On Friday, February 10th, Carol was driving near the intersection of Route 3 and Morris Road in Columbus.   The other driver, traveling at an undetermined speed, failed to stop at the stop sign, and hit Carol's car.  Luckily there were kind people who stopped immediately and stayed with her until the squad came to transport her to the hospital. She sustained a broken wrist which did not require surgery.   Her right leg, however, was a more serious break as the bottom of the thigh bone mashed the top of the tibia. The surgeon was able to find all the fragments and bone grafted them, then applied screws to hold it all together. She will not be able to put ANY weight on it for three months.  Her new vehicle ( both cars in the accident were totaled) is a walker for short hops and a wheelchair for longer voyages.
