Carol Mergen

We have been on a whirlwind the last couple weeks.  Carol had some back pains which led us to the doctor.  They performed many tests including X-rays, CT scans, MRI's and blood work.  They diagnosed that Carol has lung cancer that has metastasized to the brain.  She has one legion in the lung and couple in the brain.  We met with various doctors and decided to attack the brain lesions first with a round of radiation.  After that, the doctor re-scans her brain then she will begin a few rounds of chemo to attack the lesion in her lung.  Her spirits are good and she's not having any pain right now.
