Carol has an aggressive form of breast cancer, diagnosed some 2 1/2 years ago. She had two+ relatively good years of staying active, reading about and researching therapies, and aggressively seeking the right treatments for her. She went into hospice on 12/1/2020, and they have been a blessing beyond belief. Some days are okay and some are hellish, as we do our best to make her comfortable. But it is starting to appear that we're nearing the end of her journey in this life.
Your texts and emails with photos and stories have been wonderful...keep them coming! That's a sure way to bring a smile to her face. Hopefully with updates on her condition here, she won't have to give everyone an update individually and can interact with you more meaningfully.
PLEASE NOTE: CaringBridge is a wonderful service, but one small downside is that they often include gentle requests for donations. If you want to support CaringBridge, that is great. It's what makes Carol's site possible. But please don't do it as a tribute to Carol. There are several nonprofits that are nearer and dearer to her heart.
