Caroline Wilkie

Caroline Jane Wilkie was born on October 30, 2021. She is our first child, and we are incredibly happy and blessed to have and to love her.  Caroline unfortunately could only lay on her mother's chest for a moment after birth before needing to be whisked away to the NICU. As the minutes went on, the doctors realized her condition was critical and put Caroline on ECMO. She suffered from meconial aspiration during labor, and her recovery is going to be very long. 
Fortunately, this little one is in the care of the expert healthcare providers and technology at UNC Hospitals and has been flooded with support and prayers from across the world from loved ones. As her parents, we've been overwhelmed by these blessings even in the midst of tragedy. Thank you for visiting our CaringBridge site. There are ways to help here tangibly if you're so moved. Otherwise, please pray for our Caroline Jane, that the Lord would heal her and bring her home soon.
