Last March, Caroline was hit by a car. She was working as a nanny, out walking with a 2-year-old in a stroller. They were crossing at a 4-way stop when a car pulled into the intersection and turned directly into them. She saw the car coming and quickly shoved the child’s stroller out of the way before the car struck her. Both hands were crushed, and she sustained a long list of other injuries from the impact.
She had multiple surgeries on both hands and was hospitalized for 3 months. Recovery continues to be painful and difficult.
This November she’ll undergo another long and invasive orthopedic surgery to add titanium rodding to her right leg, and she'll be back in full-time inpatient care for several months. She's been unable to work or go to school and anticipates at least two more years of recovery from this surgery alone.
Thank you for taking the time to visit, there are no words to describe how much your support is appreciated.
