Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. This site is to help keep family and friends updated about Carol's fight, and to celebrate her life and how she enriched our lives. I do have to ask some things, though.

She sleeps most of the time, so please don't try to call her.  If you want to talk to her, text me and I will see how things are going and if she will be up for it.  You can reach me at 254-368-2253.  

I'm trying to keep the house together, the animals cared for, get my work done, and ensure that everyone is aware of what's going on and how she is doing.  I will post, at least once daily, about how she is doing.  I hate to sound so brusque (but, I'm told it's one of my skills), but there is no more information available.  

To put it bluntly, we will lose her.  Soon, she will be called Home. 

I ask for a few things from you all.

First, please post any stories you remember about her.  I want everyone to meet her, and to hear the incredible depth and richness of her life, and how she enriched our lives and strengthened us.

Second, please dig deep and pull up any photos you have of her, from whatever era.  When the time comes, I want to present the pictorial story of what she gave and meant to all of us, and you can help with photos. 

Third, Carol doesn't want to "bother" anyone, or "worry" anyone, so please, don't try to directly reach out to her.   

When the time comes, we will celebrate her life, loudly and joyously, because we have been extraordinarily fortunate to have known her.

Then, we will try to figure out how to go on without her.
