Hello friends and family. We are saddened to share with you that our dear sister Carol has been diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. We don't have a lot of information on the details yet. The doctors indicated that she has cancer in her lungs, heart , and one lymph node and started Chemo today. During the holiday season Carol had pneumonia type symptoms and had not been feeling well for quite some time. Over the Christmas holiday Carol was hospitalized for a short time and then was sent home for rest. Carol recently went back into the hospital where they found fluid around her heart and her heart was also enlarged. They performed additional tests and discovered that she has cancer. 2/15: Carol continues to share her faith, hope, fears, and ‘Fury’ tenacity as she walks through this journey. Every day I learn more about her commitment to faith and family as she prepares and goes through Chemo, two treatments so far.
She humbly asks for your prayers, support, a shared memory or funny story and perhaps some of your world famous . . . (chicken soup, preferably with lots of calories).
