Three to four weeks ago Carol began to experience symptoms affecting her eyesight, then her balance and movement. An eye examination led to a referral for a stroke evaluation including an MRI, which indicated lesions on the brain and necessitated biopsy. Due to the severity of the symptoms, Carol was hospitalized at Elkhart General Hospital following the MRI. The subsequent pathology report indicated glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). With success in hospital rehab she will be able to return home and receive daily treatment at Elkhart General Hospital on an outpatient basis.

Because of her 20 years of work in planning and implementing MC-USA conventions, Carol is known across the country by many people. Your words of encouragement and hope, and your prayers for her well being are appreciated. Please also remember her immediate family members (husband, Arlen, son, Ryan, daughter-in-law, Michele, two grandsons, Logan and Shawn, and two step-granddaughters, Shania and Miranda) as they support her in this time of illness.
