Carolene Mays Medley

Carolene suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm on Tuesday, September 13th at her home. She was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery on Wednesday morning. Health care personnel are hopeful she will make a full recovery but there is a long road ahead and she needs prayers from all of those who love her. Carolene had a subsequent surgery, a cerebral angiogram…this is a dye test in the brain to examine blood vessels for abnormalities that could cause problems. They did not find any clotting or weak arteries, etc. at this time. They are focused on maintaining her oxygen levels and consistent vital signs for the time being.


She will be in the hospital for several weeks. Susan Baughman and Allison Melangton are getting updates from Fred, and will pass them along on this site as often as possible. Through this website, you can send Carolene, Fred, her mother Bruceil and children supportive notes and they can read them to Carolene.

Carolene's family appreciates all of the outreach and support. Paster Johnson from Easter Star Church, Pastor Darryn Scheske with Heartland Church and Pastor Terrance Harper with Covenant Community Church have prayed over Carolene this week. Fred has shared this scripture, "The Lord is still on the throne at this time of concern. She is God’s property, and He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. Ps. 147:3". Please diligently pray for Carolene's healing by our Almighty God. She is resting in His hands.
