On January 12th, 2021, we brought Mom into the ER as we were concerned over her memory loss, aphasia, and exhaustion . After two quick CT scans, they found a large mass on the left side of Mom's brain.  She was quickly admitted to the hospital and scheduled for surgery to remove the tumor. Surgery came two days later and went very well. They removed most of the mass and the swelling had come down greatly.  Mom spent 5 days at MaryFreeBed  hospital after surgery for acute rehabilitation. On Saturday, January 23rd she came home without any pain. During her appointment on Monday, January 25th the neurologist diagnosed mom with Gliosarcoma.  They are classified as grade 4 tumors, meaning they are cancerous and fast growing.

We are using this Care page to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  They are helping Mom keep the faith, along with all of us.

 Thank you for visiting,
The Dietrich Family
