My story starts all the way from New York City. It was a few days before I was scheduled to have an orthopedic surgery on my leg. Sadly the surgery never happened because my pre-op labs came back with an elevated white blood count. We came home thinking I had mono, only to find out on New Years Eve, that instead I have T-cell ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia). This is the most common type of childhood cancer. Leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. My cancer is going to be treated with chemo, and minor surgeries. This is my journey...
