Dearest friends and family,

As many of you know, Carl suffered injuries from a snowmobile accident on Sunday the 29th.  He is now at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction and is stable and peaceful.  Because Carl had some problems coming out of the anesthesia, they chose to keep him medicated, allowing him to sleep and rest.  They have begun to wean him off the meds and he is responding well to the decrease in those medications.  All of the staff are incredibly pleased with Carl’s vitality, fortitude, and strength and attribute his success to having led a healthy lifestyle for so many years.

As you can well imagine, managing Carl’s and my own needs is all-encompassing.  The support received from everyone, the love shared, and the offers of help fill my heart with gratitude for having such an immense family of caring friends and relatives.  The greatest challenge for me at the moment is responding to all of the loving calls, emails, and texts.  For that reason, we have set up this CaringBridge account for Carl where I will, as often as possible, post updates on Carl’s progress.

I ask that you utilize this site to share your thoughts, questions and support and please lead anyone you know to CaringBridge.  The site may be accessed at caringbridge.org/visit/carldamerau or through Google by entering Carl’s name.

In deep love and appreciation,

Lynne and Carl
