We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.....Alrighty everyone, I think I need to let everyone know Mom's story. I'm finding that not everyone knows what's happened so far, and just so you know we're sorry about that. Mom and Dad both don't want to leave anyone out, and we know we have, so our apologies....

So, from the beginning, Mom found a lump under her right arm at the end of April and went to the doc who then scheduled a biopsy on May 3rd. Mom and Dad got the results later the next day on May 4th (a phone call asking if she could come in now). Results were that she has breast cancer and it's metastasized. Next doc appointment was May 11th to determine when to go in for another mammogram, and Mom asked why 'cause she'd already had one and it didn't show anything. Doc told her this one would be a little bit different, he referred to it as a "mammogram on steroids".....ummmm yikes! And they would also do an ultrasound and another biopsy all in that visit. So, on May 17th she went in and they decided to do the ultrasound first, hoping to not need the mammogram. And luckily they found it and were able to avoid the "mammogram on steroids"....yay! They also did the 2nd biopsy that day. I believe it was on the 19th we found out that the 2nd biopsy was indeed the primary. The next doc appointment on the 23rd was also a pre-op appointment.
