Carey was diagnosed with t-cell lymphoma in June 2017 and is receiving treatment through the University of Louisville. She began her journey with a three week stay at the U of L Hospital where she was tended to by some amazing doctors, nurses, and clinical assistants. The doctors were so pleased with her progress that they allowed her to go home a week early! Carey will be continuing her chemotherapy through a mixture of outpatient and inpatient treatments.
