"Mr. Russell, you have a stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma tumor that has metastasized into your lymph nodes"   He lost me at stage 4....  There are times in your life when words from another simply stop your world from turning.  We all imagine what those words would sound like, and now I know.  When he said stage 4 all I could think of was the day my mother died of cancer, and I called cancer a cowardly pussy.  Pick on someone your own size who can fight back.  Apparently cancer listens.  Well Mr. Cancer, put your big girl panties on cause shit just got real.  I'm gonna own your ass!! 




My awesome family and so many wonderful friends have reached out to me with love and support, but there is simply no way to keep you all informed as to what is happening, so here is my story.  I will update as often as possible, and see how this works.  Bottom line, I'm going to win.  We've all lost too many friends to this shitty disease, and this is going to be my victory story.  There is a beautiful woman I work with who has battled cancer and won three times, she's my rock and my motivator.  I hope my story will be able to do the same for someone else down the road.
