Cam was diagnosed in mid-October with ovarian cancer, after months of abdominal discomfort that worsened.  As you can imagine for this nurse, this diagnosis was quite a shock! But she is grateful for all the care and support coming around her.  Cam's medical team at NorthShore's Kellogg Cancer Center plan is to begin chemo first on 11/4 (one round every 21 days). Then surgery will come somewhere in the middle of 6-8 rounds of chemo to get the most out of surgery/best outcome.  It's definitely an uphill climb, but God is good and His provision and timing are perfect.  We may not all agree with His timing, but that's where prayer, medical treatments, and the encouraging support of so many will lift Cam through this difficult journey.   She is very open about the diagnosis and treatment, as she needs all the prayers, good wishes, scripture references, notes, hugs, fist pumps, funny stories/pictures/videos, check ins, and encouraging comments she can get (so maybe not so much talk about her favorite sports teams right now - Packers, Cubs, Blackhawks - haha), so feel free to ask questions and check in here.  We'll keep you updated on her progress and how you can support her.  Cam is overwhelmed with gratitude and support from so many and is leaning hard into God's providence and presence through all of you.
