Cami Bremer

Richard "Struthers" Bremer was born on November 14, at just 27 weeks gestation and weighing only 1 lb, 13 oz.  We have created this page to share our journey with you, and hope it can be a place of encouragement and inspiration for all.  We expect to be in the NICU for the next 2-1/2 months, until his original due date of February 12, 2015.


UPDATE: After 105 days in the NICU, Struthers was welcomed into our home on February 27, 2015!  He will remain on oxygen for awhile and will continue to receive developmental therapy in the home, in hopes that he can catch up with milestones of his actual birth date within 2 years. For now, everything is based off "adjusted" age, which means instead of counting from his birthdate in November, we count from his due date in February. His little immune system is still very underdeveloped, so we will be keeping a low profile for another few months and sticking pretty close to the house. You're welcome to schedule a visit, but we ask that you not come if you've been around anyone sick and consider waiting until the day after air travel.
