Cameron was born with a rare brain defect known as a Chiari Malformation. This condition affects the development of the lower part of his brain and spinal cord. Last September, he had surgery at Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando to correct the deformity in his brain. Now, as a complication of this condition, he has a fluid filled pocket pressing on his spinal cord, affecting the function of his legs. If this is not corrected, he could spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. There is a specialty institute associated with Phoenix Children’s Hospital that specializes in correcting this condition. We are traveling to Arizona for surgery on July 21st. This will be our method for updating our friends and family.
